Hey! Welcome to the games list for August 2026!

First things first, thank you so much for reading I really appreciate it! With this you get the full list of 96 game releases this month handpicked by me and to give you something on top I will detail 3 games which caught my eye this month so lets get into it.

Beast of Reincarnation developed and published by Game Freak (Pokemon) and Fictions launches August 4th on Xbox Series, Game Pass, PlayStation 5 and PC. I'm a pretty big fan of Game Freak's Gear Projects (Giga Wecker, Pocket Jockey) even if they're not always up on quality. Beast of Reincarnation hands on previews painting a picture of a game which got heavy inspired by
NieR: Automata and Dark Souls even if the game itself is not as challenging as a Souls title. The game looks pretty gorgeous in my eyes and it seems like satisfying traversal is a core element and I can't wait to check it out.

Brigandine Abyss developed by Adglobe and published by NIS America is turn-based strategy game which launches on August 26th on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. I must admit I'm not really familiar with the Brigandine series but I like turn-based games and it gives me a polished Tactics game vibe. I'm not lying, the single reason which hyped me up so much was a screenshot of a character "fire balling" the whole field and I'm always down for some dumb tactics action.

Pokemon Pokopia DLC Bubbly Basin. It's probably the only Nintendo Switch 2 systemseller (so far), and it's getting its first DLC out of 3 and it adds the ability to build and live underwater. Obviously we are also getting new water Pokemon like Sharpedo and Totodile alongside a shit ton of new decoration and options to build our Pokemon friends a new home. The thing is I have a problem with this DLC... I hate underwater regions (and snow, sand and lava region) but the main game itself is fun and probably my game of the year so far. So, I can keep my hate for stupid boring regions in check and ready for Pokopia cozy hug of hanging out with my Pokemon friends again.
